Private Dog Training
Private training sessions allows us to work one-on-one with you and your dog in a comfortable environment such as your home or a public location.
These sessions focus on teaching you how to guide your dog with clear communication and structure.
Training is customized to your dog’s personality, energy level, and learning style.
Basic Training Skills Include
- Sit
- Down
- Come (recall)
- Heel or leash manners
- Place command
- Off command (no biting/jumping)
- Crate training guidance
- Potty training tips
- General house manners
Board & Train Program
For owners who want a more immersive training experience,we offer Board & Train programs where your dog stays with their trainer for focused training.
During this time, your dog receives daily structure, training sessions, and reinforcement to build strong habits.
Program Length
14 – 21 days depending on your dog's needs.
This program is great for:

- Faster learning progress
At the end of the program, Elaine provides guidance to help owners maintain the training at home.
Puppy Training
Training can begin as early as 8 weeks old.
Starting early helps puppies develop confidence, structure, and healthy habits that last a lifetime.
Puppy training focuses on:
- Basic obedience
- Potty training guidance
- Crate training
- Preventing biting and jumping
- Positive social behaviors
- Building a strong bond with their owner

Consultation
Initial Assessment
$150
Includes a 90-minute consultation where Elaine evaluates your dog’s behavior, temperament, and training needs.
This session also includes guidance and a customized training plan.
Private Lessons
Single Lesson
$125
(1) 60-minute private lesson
Lesson Package
$325
(3) 60-minute private lessons
Lessons are typically scheduled every 5-7 days to allow time for practice and reinforcement.
E-Collar Training
E-collar training is available for dogs that may benefit from additional structure or off-leash communication.
Minimum of 4 lessons required
$150 per 60-minute lesson
Plus the cost of an approved e-collar ($250–$275)
Training includes:
- Safe and responsible e-collar introduction
- Clear communication techniques
- Recall training
- Reinforcement of obedience commands
TRAINING SESSION GUIDELINES
To ensure the best training results:
- Training sessions should be one-on-one with the primary handler or up to two adults.
- Small children are not recommended to participate in training sessions to allow focused learning and clear communication.
- Consistency and follow-through between sessions will help your dog progress faster.
BOARDING At-Home Dog Boarding
BoardWalk Dog Training also offers in-home boarding for dogs while their families are away.
Your dog will stay in a comfortable, structured environment with supervision and care.
